About Oceanic Consultants
In order to facilitate CAMAC’s ambitious activity offshore West Africa, the company launched Oceanic Consultants. Project, engineering and construction managers, Oceanic Consultants performs basic and definition engineering; gas utilization; field development and feasibility studies; facilities design; techno-economic evaluation; oil field life extension; and platform decommissioning and abandonment.
The company is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has expanded to provide project management, staffing and procurements services, ranging from offshore oil and gas projects to onshore power generation and distribution projects.
Oceanic Consultants served as project manager for the full-scope conversion of the FPSO vessel Armada Perdana – from beginning to first oil – in a record-setting 22 months. This project involved over US$ 1 billion in procurement, managed 7 main contracts in 5 different countries, 158 vendors, 63 subcontractors, 27 different manufacturing locations in 14 countries, 7 fabrication sites, 23 nationalities, 5 foreign languages and 1723 technical and contractual interfaces.
Oceanic provides services to clients worldwide, including major oil and gas companies such as Shell, ExxonMobil and Chevron. Oceanic performed project management for the $500 million Escravos Gas Project, a 34,000-barrel per day gas-to-liquid plant in Escravos, Nigeria, that is a joint development by the Nigerian National Petroleum corporation (NNPC) and Chevron. Together with NNPC, Oceanic also supervised the design and construction of the Niger Delta Bonny Export Terminal.
